Les Princes de Papier

Les Princes de Papier was created during the Atelier AIR art residency, hosted at Château de Cerisay in France. Local models were invited to the castle as collaborators rather than subjects, each portrait shaped as much by conversation and presence as by direction. The series draws on fantasy stories and tales of transformation, treating masculinity as something fluid and handmade rather than fixed. Cyanotype experiments undertaken during the residency became part of the work itself, their unpredictable blues seeping into the final images in ways that were never fully planned. The result is a study in intimacy and softness, built through collaboration as much as through craft.
